Smoking your weed isn't the best way to consume it, here's why...

Reading that title, you might think I'm the type of guy who prefers edibles, and you would be wrong.

Edibles are not as easy to find as weed, so many people that consume them usually make their own, so basically they need to take time to bake them before they can get baked.

But if I'm not talking about edibles, what the hell could be better than a fat joint or a nice bong rip ?

Well, you might have heard about vaporisation, and today, you will discover it isn't as fancy or expensive as you might think, and it has many benefits..

1. What is weed vaporization ?

Weed vaporization is the process of heating cannabis to a temperature high enough to release its active compounds—like THC and CBD—without burning the plant material. Unlike smoking, where combustion produces smoke full of toxins and irritants, vaporization gives you a clean, smooth hit of cannabinoids with far fewer harmful byproducts.

Most vaporizers heat cannabis to around 160–220°C (320–428°F). At these temps, the weed doesn’t burn—it releases a vapor that you can inhale. This means you’re getting all the good stuff without setting your lungs on fire. It’s like having your cake and eating it too—if your cake was a cloud of THC goodness.

2. Why choose vaporization over smoking?

Let’s be honest: nothing quite hits like a joint with friends or a fat bong rip after a long day. But vaporizing isn’t trying to replace those rituals, it’s just a smoother, smarter option for people who want to get high with a bit more finesse.

Here’s why some stoners are making the switch:

Better taste
Vaping lets you actually taste your weed. Since there’s no combustion ruining the terpenes, the flavor is cleaner, more noticeable, and often surprisingly fruity or herbal depending on the strain. It’s a full-on flavor experience you miss when you’re just burning it.

Healthier for your lungs
When you smoke weed, you’re inhaling carcinogens, tar, and other nasties. Vaporizing avoids combustion entirely, which means no smoke, no ash, and way less coughing. For people who toke regularly, this can be a game-changer.

Stronger and cleaner high
Because you’re only vaporizing the active ingredients, you’re getting a more “pure” high—clearer, less cloudy. Some people report it being more cerebral and less sleepy, especially at lower temps.

You get more out of your weed
Vaping is more efficient than smoking. You can squeeze more THC out of a smaller amount, meaning your stash lasts longer. Plus, you can often reuse the leftover “ABV” (Already Been Vaped) weed to make edibles—bonus high!

Way less smell
Vapor has a faint smell compared to smoke. It doesn’t cling to your clothes, your hair, or the room nearly as much. So if you’re trying to be discreet, vaping is the stealth stoner’s best friend.

3. Is it expensive?

Here’s the part where a lot of people back off: they assume vaporizers cost hundreds of dollars and are only for serious weed nerds. That used to be true, but not anymore.

There are tons of budget-friendly vaporizers on the market now that still deliver great performance. Portable models like the XMAX V3 Pro or the Dynavap (which doesn’t even need a battery) offer solid vapor without wrecking your wallet. If you’re feeling fancy, sure, there are luxury options like the Volcano or the Mighty, but you don’t need them to enjoy vaporization.

In fact, you can get started for under 100 bucks, and you’ll probably save money in the long run since you’ll be using less weed.

4. Final thoughts: To vape or not to vape?

Look, this isn’t about saying one method is really “better” than the other—everyone’s got their own style. Some days you want a joint with a view; other days, you want a clean high on your couch without coughing up a lung.

Vaping gives you that option. It’s smoother, stealthier, and often cheaper in the long run. Plus, it opens the door to a more intentional kind of high—where you can dial in your experience based on temperature and strain.

So if you’ve never tried vaporizing before, maybe it’s time. Roll one less joint this week, and instead, take a hit from a vape. You might be surprised how much you like it.

TL;DR: Vaping weed isn’t just for nerds; it’s clean, efficient, and actually affordable. And no, edibles still aren’t easier to find or make.

Let me know if you want suggestions for specific vaporizers or how to get the best high with different temperature settings.
